We have three live-aboard vessels, the Big Blue Explorer based in Palau, the Island Explorer based in the Philippines and the Oceanic Explorer sailing to a popular diving destination soon! We offer diving in Palau, Tubbataha, Apo Reef, Puerto Galera, Anilao, Batangas, Boracay, Cebu, Mactan, Moalboal, Malapascua, Dumaguete, Bohol, Apo Island, etc.

International Marinelife Alliance (IMA)
The organization which I helped to found gives subsistence fishers alternative livelihoods. The cyanide fishers are taught to use barrier & hand nets to catch aquarium fish so the fish lives & the reefs aren't harmed so they can continue to fish there for generations. The blast fishers are trained to catch fish on hook & line & use a needle to decompress the fish so that they can be sold live for food in aquariums for 10 times the amount of money as a dead or blasted fish. It is a win-win situation for the reefs, the fishermen, and the aquarium keepers. IMA also has a coral farm & research stations, etc.

WOW Philippines Homepage
My favorite place to dive is the Philippines so have assigned it to myself for 2 month per year since 1976. It lies in the Coral Triangle, along with parts of Indonesia, & New Guinea, which missed an ice age 18,000 years ago which provided it with the richest species diversification in the world. (The Tropical Indo Pacific is also 200 million years older than the Atlantic.) Have enticed the scientists to visit this area & for example they discovered over 300 species of nudibranchs (sea slugs - "the butterflies of the sea") that were new to science. That didn't count the hundreds that were already known. I have been able to dive over 250 of the 7,107 islands which made me an expert and pioneer of Philippine diving.

John G. Shedd Aquarium
I served as a consultant to the John G. Shedd Aquarium on their new spectacular $49 million, 15,000 new square foot, 8 years in the making, permanent Philippine Exhibit "Wild Reef" which opened in April of '03.

LOUP - Chicago
League of Underwater Photographers (LOUP) is a non-profit club which promotes interest and excellence in underwater photography and videography while increasing peoples awareness of the need to preserve the marine environment.

Aquascapes Philippines
The company website of my best Filipino friend, Lolita Ty. They are exporters of live tropical fish. Her son Denis helped me with this website, without his support, I would still be technologically challenged and this website would not be in existence.
